Liberated Montessori Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making high-quality Montessori education accessible to underrepresented communities.
What is Lee’s Fund?
For over a decade, Liberated has provided authentic Montessori education for children under six. Lee’s Fund is our scholarship program created to:
Support families who have been systemically marginalized
Close opportunity gaps for children from less-privileged circumstances
Provide access to nurturing, developmentally rich Montessori environments
Our Commitment
We believe diverse, inclusive communities create the strongest learning environments.
Guides are trained in Montessori philosophy and Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Anti-Racism
Scholarships make Montessori possible for families who share our values but need financial support
Who Should Apply
Lee’s Fund considers more than income. Families encouraged to apply include:
LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive families
Kinship, foster, and adoptive caregivers
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color
Single-parent households
Families experiencing financial hardship
Parents or children with disabilities
Scholarship Awards
8–12 awards each year
10–75% tuition discounts
Multi-year support, renewed annually
Applications accepted throughout the school year
How to Apply
Application – Submit an application below. Includes questionnaire, short essay, tax return, and utility bill
Campus Visit – Meet our Director and tour the school
Notification – Decision within 2 weeks of interview (recipients may remain private)
